HSU Trumpets

Nine new students have been added, bringing us to 19 trumpet majors, only two short of our record high!

Currently we have 240 HSU trumpet alumni -- unfortunately, only 80 are listed on this site.  Little by little we will add the remaining 160, but no one has been forgotten!  For the complete alumni list, please see the old web site:

Congratulations to Mary Kate McNally, recipient of the Mae Whipple and Don and Jean Kramer scholarships!  The Mae Whipple Scholarship is Henderson State's most prestigious performance award and has been awarded to a number of Henderson's best trumpet students.

The Don and Jean Kramer Memorial Scholarhip is in memory of Henderson trumpet faculty member Don Kramer.  Don taught many fine trumpet players and established Henderson as a great trumpet school!  Mary Kate is the first recipient of this award.
